March 1 is also the official launch day for LEGO SMART Play — the brand’s biggest innovation since the LEGO Minifigure debuted in 1978. Instead of using a screen or app, the magic lives right inside the brick itself. LEGO SMART Bricks are packed with sensors, motion detectors, and a built-in speaker that react in real time to how you move and play with the set — so your builds light up, make sounds, and respond to what’s happening around them. It’s a fun excuse to check it out in person and grab some free goodies while you’re at it.
