Adorable Valentine’s Treats That Are Easier Than They Look!

Valentine’s Day is the ideal time to spread the love even in the most simple ways! Bring your kids into the kitchen to help make the perfect presentation for their classroom or to give a little something special and sweet to a lonely neighbor. The easier the gift, the more you can share, and the more you share, the more love and kindness is spread. It is said that it only takes a spark to get a fire going…so light up your oven and make a difference this Valentine’s Day!
Cupid’s Crunch
You’ll hit the bullseye with your own arrow with this delightful bag of heart-popping goodness!
Ingredients
1 bag of microwave popcorn (or pop your own)
8 ounces of red, white and pink M&Ms
1 cup mini pretzels broken into pieces
10 ounces of candy melts in pink or red
Sprinkles, preferably hearts
Instructions
-Prepare the popcorn according to package directions, making sure to remove any unpopped kernels.
-Add the M&Ms and pretzel pieces, tossing to combine.
-Melt half of the candy melts in the microwave in 20-second intervals, pausing to stir each time, until smooth.
-Drizzle over the popcorn mixture and use a spatula to help combine the melted chocolate and the candies.
-Spread the popcorn on a baking tray lined with wax paper.
-Melt the remaining chocolate melts and drizzle over the popcorn mix.
-Top with sprinkles.
-Place the tray in the fridge for about 20 minutes to allow the chocolate to set before breaking the popcorn bits into servings.
-Add a scoop in clear bags and use cute red ribbons to tie a bow.
Heart Throb Chocolate Chip Cookies
WIn any heart with an all-time favorite that everyone loves!
Ingredients
Simply make your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe or use the ready-made dough like Toll House, making enough to cover a jelly roll pan or cookie sheet.
Heart-shaped cookie cutter
Instructions
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-Butter a 10 by 15-inch jelly roll pan or cookie sheet.
-Line pan with two sheets of buttered parchment paper.
-Pour dough onto prepared pan and spread into an even layer.
-Bake in preheated oven about 17 – 21 minutes (they should appear slightly under-baked but a toothpick should come out clean or with a few crumbs).
-Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
-Lift bars out using parchment paper and cut into heart shapes with cookie cutters.
Brownie Pops
All hearts will pop with these easy-to-serve brownies in sight!
Ingredients
1 box of brownie mix, any brand
2 eggs
3 Tablespoon water
½ cup vegetable oil
10-ounce package of Wilton light pink or red chocolate candy melts
Lollipop sticks
3″ heart-shaped cookie cutter
Small sandwich baggies
Kitchen scissors
Instructions
-Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
-Combine the brownie mix, eggs, water, and oil.
-Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
-Bake 25-30 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
-Remove brownies from the oven and let cool completely.
-Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper.
-Use the heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the heart-shaped brownies.
-Gently insert a lollipop stick into the base of each brownie and place on the baking sheet.
-Pour candy melts into two microwave-safe bowls.
-Place each bowl in the microwave one at a time – heating for 30-second increments, stirring occasionally until melted. Let cool a few minutes.
-Scoop the melted chocolate into a sandwich baggy.
-Snip the corners of the baggies and gently squeeze the melted chocolate from each baggy onto the brownies in a zig-zag pattern.
-Repeat with all the brownies.

-Simply mix the ingredients together and scoop into a clear sandwich bag.
-Tie with a bow and they are ready to go to your sweet valentines!
Valentine Sugar Cookie Fudge
Break away from ordinary traditions without breaking hearts!
Ingredients
3 cups white chocolate chips
1 cup sugar cookie mix
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup valentine sprinkles (divided)
3-4 ounces of almond bark or white chocolate
Instructions
-In a medium-sized double boiler or saucepan, combine white chocolate chips, sugar cookie
mix, sweetened condensed milk, and butter.
-Heat over medium heat and stir continuously until melted and smooth.
-Remove from heat and add the vanilla and half of the sprinkles. Mix well.
-Line a 9×9” baking dish with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray.
-Transfer fudge to the baking dish and smooth it out in the pan.
-Press remaining sprinkles into the top of the fudge and chill in the refrigerator for 2-3
hours.
-When almost hardened, remove from the baking dish by lifting with the paper.
-Cut into small squares.
-Melt almond bark in a microwave safe bowl in 30 second increments until melted and
