Spring is here, and Home Depot is giving kids a reason to get their hands dirty — in the best way. On April 4, little ones can head to their local store for a free Farm Planter Kids Workshop, where they’ll build their own planter kit to take home and fill with whatever they want to grow. It’s a hands-on, screen-free morning that doubles as a first gardening lesson.

These monthly workshops have built quite a following, and the Farm Planter theme is perfectly timed for spring planting season. Kids get to build, create, and leave with something they made themselves — and parents get a fun, free Saturday morning activity. Registration is required ahead of time, so don’t wait on this one.
