They say there’s no such thing as a free lunch, but with this offer, there is such a thing as free fries. I can tell you all about it because I cash in and get them any time I want. Burger King’s hot crispy fries are a savory, salty treat that I find myself craving here and there. Sometimes I need a midday pick-me-up or sometimes I really want a reward for surviving the day. Whatever it is – these free fries at BK are always there for me. I call them my emotional support fries. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how I get my hands on these bad boys with a purchase of $1+.

Step 1: I Downloaded the Burger King App 📱

Downloading the app is as easy as the click of a button so I downloaded it here on the Apple App Store. If you have an Android – no judgment – you can get here in the Google Play store. If you really don’t want another app on your phone you can also place an order online.

Step 2: I Created My Account 🤳

Next, I created a Burger King account. All I needed was my email (you can also use an Apple or Google account), my first name, and my birthday. You can choose not to include your birthday but there’s a good reason I added mine (more on that later). I also opted in to get their special offer emails so I won’t miss any other BK goodies. Now when I go to order I just have to sign in.

Step 3: I Find The Free Fries Offer 👀

Now that I’m signed in, I click on the Offers section. Because I have location services turned on on my phone it chooses the closest Burger King location to me which is perfect because that’s where I’m headed. Now that I’m on the Offer pages I just have to find those golden fries calling to me. Usually they’re towards the top of the list but sometimes I have to scroll to find them.

Step 4: I Add It To My Cart 🛒

Next, I click the red button to Add to Cart. Note: If you’re in the app you can also opt to Redeem in Restaurant. and you’ll get a code to present when you get to the restaurant.

Step 5: I Choose My Fry Size 🍟

Small French Fries are automatically chosen but I’m usually ready for a big order of fries when this craving hits. So then I click on the fries image just under the Customize Your Order note. If I happen to just need a little nosh there’s the Value fries option. But more often than not, I opt for the large – it is free after all. Once I’ve selected the size, I click Update Item and then Add.

Step 6: I Add To My Order 🍔🥤🍪

Now comes the hard part. The free fries are offered with any purchase of $1 or more so now I’m faced with the difficult decision of what else I want to to eat! If I’m trying to keep things cheap, the four-piece cheesy tots are a great option for just a couple of bucks and who doesn’t love any combination of cheese and potatoes? Other times I want to pair my fries with a sweet treat – specifically the chocolate Oreo shake pictured above. And yes, I dip my fries in the shake.

Step 7: I Check Out 🛒

Once I’ve completed my order I click View Cart and choose drive-thru so I don’t even have to get out of my car for these goodies.

Final Step: I Enjoy My FREE Fries! 🤴

I’m the Burger King now! All that’s left to do now is get my food and enjoy those tasty fries. Free food just tastes better doesn’t it?

Since I go to BK pretty often it made sense to join their rewards program.

• I earn 10 Crowns for every eligible $1 spent.
• I earn double Crowns for the entire month of my birthday – which is why I included it when I signed up.
• I also extra Crowns for participating in challenges which can be as simple as visiting BK twice a month.
• Rewards start around 250 Crowns but there are often specials such as the month where 175 Crowns got me two chocolate chip cookies. Yum yum.
