Each sip is like a cozy blanket for your taste buds and the whipped cream topping adds that touch of holiday indulgence that we all crave. And now, with our recipe, you can have that experience anytime you want it in the cozy convenience of home sweet home.

Here’s a list of ingredients to get you started on your homemade Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte adventure…but…if you won’t give real pumpkin a shot, it can be left out. Since 2015, the PSL has included real pumpkin puree, made from sweet little kabocha pumpkins. However, “pumpkin spice” alone will still create an amazing cup of coffee!

1 shot of espresso or 1 cup of strong brewed coffee

1 cup of milk

2 Tablespoons of canned pumpkin puree

2 Tablespoons of sugar

1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or a 1/2 teaspoon mix of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Whipped cream

Caramel sauce for drizzle

Ground cinnamon for garnish

Creating the masterpiece:

-In a saucepan, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, sugar and spice.

-Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is steaming but not boiling.

-Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and whisk until frothy.

-Pour brewed coffee or espresso into your mug.

-Slowly pour the pumpkin spiced milk over the coffee while holding the foam back with a spoon, allowing the milk to flow in first.

-Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and a sprinkle of cinnamon for a Starbucks-worthy presentation.

-Grab your coziest throw blanket, snuggle into your favorite spot with falling leaves in view, and savor every delicious sip. Optional but highly recommended!

Now that you have become a PSL connoisseur at home, you will have a sense of accomplishment as you add a personal touch to your fall mornings. You control the ingredients, the sweetness level, and the size of your serving along with a cost-effective and eco-friendly reusable mug that is your fall favorite. You can now whip up this magical Starbucks experience anytime you want it whether it’s a lazy weekend morning, a midday pick-me-up, or a late-night treat with no tricks. Waiting in line or rushing to indulge before the season is over is no more. With this recipe, fall is at your fingertips ready to warm your heart and soothe your soul. So raise your cup and say “cheers” to embracing your accomplishment of a season filled with warmth, flavor, and homemade goodness!
