Taste Test: Do the Birthday Cake Churros Live Up to the Hype?

When I saw these on the menu, I knew I had to try them. Not only do I love anything pink and sparkly but it’s also my birthday month! I opted for the two-pack since it was only $1 more. It was an odd experience taking the first bite while still expecting cinnamon and sugar flavors! But the texture was consistent with a classic churro – a slight crunch on the outside with a soft pillowy layer underneath. 

The center is filled with warm cake frosting that was the right amount of sweet to complement the cake-y outside. Overall, the churros were a tasty treat at the end of a Taco Bell dinner. My only suggestion would be to include a side of the frosting for dipping so eaters could customize their level of sweetness.

This isn’t the first time Taco Bell and Milk Bar have joined forces. In 2022, they introduced the Strawberry Bell Truffle, a unique dessert that combined Milk Bar’s award-winning cake truffles with pieces of Taco Bell’s Crunchy Taco Shell. The success of that limited-time offering paved the way for this new creation, blending the culinary creativity of both brands to delight fans once more.
